Industrial filter pads use a porous fibre matrix to capture particles throughout the thickness of the media. This depth-loading behaviour can provide useful contaminant-holding capacity and stable clarification where a thin surface screen would blind rapidly.
For a reliable recommendation, engineers must consider fibre composition, thickness, basis weight (GSM), porosity, wet and dry strength, flow behaviour, particle-retention objective and compatibility with the process fluid. Published Sri Bharathi manufacturing information describes monitored raw materials, automated pad production and routine checks of filtration efficiency, porosity, absorbency, filtration speed and bursting factor. Wet-strength treatment is used on relevant paper and pad grades. Final acceptance criteria should be agreed for each application.
