Operating principle

How the filtration product works

High-temperature filter pads provide a porous depth medium for removing particulate matter from hot, compatible liquids. In frying-oil service, circulation through supported media retains suspended crumbs and degradation solids that would otherwise remain in the oil.

Sri Bharathi publishes an operating-temperature range of 180–250 °C for this product family. That range does not replace confirmation of the precise grade, support arrangement, exposure time, pressure and fluid chemistry for each installation.

Construction and process behaviour

The current Sri Bharathi source describes these as technically advanced, heat-resistant depth-filtration media in various dimensions. It does not publish the exact fibre or binder formulation. That construction should therefore be confirmed on the quotation and grade documentation rather than inferred from standard cellulose pads.

At elevated temperature, dimensional stability, seal integrity, oxidation, pressure drop and safe handling become as important as particle retention. The filter assembly, piping, pump, valves and operator procedure must all be rated for the process.

Can a standard cellulose pad be used at 200 °C?

Do not assume so. Use only a grade whose supplier has confirmed the construction and limit for the intended exposure.

Is 250 °C suitable for every liquid?

No. It is the published product-family range. Chemical compatibility, pressure, exposure duration, supports and safety controls remain application-specific.

What determines the change-out point in fryer-oil filtration?

Track flow or pressure together with visible solids, oil-quality indicators and the site operating procedure. Avoid relying on appearance alone.

Are these pads food grade?

The legacy page describes them as food-grade safe, but customers should request current, grade-specific food-contact documentation for their jurisdiction and use.
